Slaughtering wastewater comes from flushing, rinsing, slaughtering and other factory floor flushing, scalding, dissection, non-staple food processing, oil washing, etc. It has the characteristics of large water volume, uneven drainage, high concentration, high impurities and suspended solids, and good biodegradability.
The organic substances in slaughterhouse wastewater are mainly proteins and fats, which belong to the category of macromolecular long-chain organic compounds and are difficult to be directly utilized by ordinary aerobic bacteria. In their biodegradation process, they are usually decomposed into small molecule organic compounds such as amino acids and carbohydrates through enzyme action before being directly utilized by aerobic bacteria. Therefore, it is necessary to set up an acidification and hydrolysis process in slaughterhouse wastewater treatment equipment.
There are many processes for treating slaughterhouse wastewater, including natural ecological treatment, biological treatment, and chemical treatment. Each process has its own advantages and limitations. The best slaughterhouse wastewater treatment equipment and process should be selected based on the characteristics of influent water quality, treatment and discharge requirements, and economic and management factors should be comprehensively considered, and attention should be paid to the combination of different slaughterhouse wastewater treatment processes. For example, the main structure can adopt anaerobic and aerobic treatment, supplemented by natural ecological treatment, which can not only ensure the effluent quality, but also relatively save energy and reduce operating costs. At present, China mainly focuses on small-scale slaughterhouse sewage treatment stations. In the current situation where environmental protection investment is relatively low, the selection of slaughterhouse sewage treatment equipment and processes should be developed in the direction of efficiency, energy conservation, intensification, scale, and easy management to reduce treatment costs. Strengthen the maintenance and management of slaughterhouse wastewater treatment stations to ensure their normal operation.
